Dr. Thatchapol Kanjanakul, Governor of the National Housing Authority (NHA) stated that the National Housing Authority (NHA) has a primary mission to develop housing for low- and middle-income individuals while enhancing the quality of life for residents in physical, economic, social, and environmental aspects for over 47 years. To achieve its mission goals in 2020, the NHA has collaborated with the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) to provide a New Year gift to the public under the campaign 'Affordable Housing Across Thailand'.

Recently, General Prayuth Chan-o-cha, the Prime Minister honored the event by presiding over the first batch of special rental housing contracts for 50 households from the Romklao 2 and Ladkrabang 2 projects on February 17, 2020. Today, the NHA is accelerating the distribution of special rental housing contracts nationwide at the event 'Our Home, Moving Forward Together' on February 23-25, 2020, from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM at the NHA headquarters, municipal housing offices, and provincial housing offices across the country with 10,000 units available for rent starting at 999 Baht per month. This includes 6,500 units in the Bangkok and metropolitan areas, comprising Bangkok, Nonthaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Pathum Thani, Samut Prakan, and Samut Sakhon, and 3,500 units in regional areas such as Chiang Mai, Lampang, Phuket, Hat Yai, Chonburi, Rayong, Chachoengsao, Nakhon Ratchasima, Buriram, Nong Khai, Ayutthaya, and Saraburi. This special rental housing project is aimed at low-income individuals who cannot afford to buy their own homes and significantly alleviates household expenses. Reservations can be made online at http://999.nha.co.th starting January 9, 2020. As of February 21, 2020, over 17,000 people have expressed interest in reserving rental rights online.

For the 'Rental Housing Across Thailand' project, the rental contract with the NHA lasts for one year and can be renewed annually. Applicants for the 'rental housing' must meet the following criteria: 1. Must be a Thai national and of legal age. 2. Household income must not exceed 40,000 Baht per month. 3. Must not be a rental contract partner with the NHA and have no outstanding debts. If tenants wish to purchase later, they can switch to buying under the conditions set by the NHA.

Additionally, the event features a special promotion 'Shock Price' offering discounts on 35 housing projects for those interested in purchasing their own homes, with prices starting at just 250,000 Baht and going up to 420,000 Baht. Interested parties can reserve with only 1,000 Baht, with financing available up to 100%, or mortgage with the NHA at special interest rates, free transfer fees, and free mosquito nets and iron grills (for specific 4th-5th floor projects). Citizens who transfer ownership and mortgage their NHA homes under the government's fee reduction measures by March 31, 2020 will have the chance to win various prizes.

“During the event, a ceremony was held to present special rental housing contracts to 10 selected individuals, with Mr. Juti Krairerk, Minister of the Ministry of Social Development and Human Security honored to preside over the opening ceremony and present the contracts, demonstrating a genuine commitment to helping the public by reducing inequalities in access to housing for low-income individuals.”
